Spencer-Peirce-Little Farm is home to nine sheep of all ages, breeds, colors, and sizes, placed with us by the MSPCA. Each year in May, champion hand-shearer Kevin Ford visits the farm to shear our sheep in the gentlest way possible. Some, like old Betty, the three-legged Shetland, are quite used to this and just take a nap. Others, like sweet one-year-old Hugo, will probably be less cooperative!
We also use this time to give all the animals their annual check-up and vaccinations, with the help of our friends at the Amesbury Animal Hospital.
