Saturday, August 22, 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Roseland Cottage, 556 Route 169, Woodstock, Conn.
Celebrate the hundredth anniversary of a woman's right to vote! It is right and proper to do so with an afternoon tea. Joanie DiMartino of the Prudence Crandall Museum joins the tea party to explain why women wanted no more "pink teas" and to highlight Connecticut women's roles in the suffrage movement, including some who lived in Roseland Cottage. Enjoy two kinds of tea (one of them pink), scones, cookies, and finger sandwiches. Take home the tea cup and saucer, and a special reproduction Votes for Women button.
