View nineteenth-century daguerreotypes by Southworth and Hawes, John Adams Whipple, and James Wallace Black, among others. See work by marine photographer N. L. Stebbins and architectural and landscape photographer Baldwin Coolidge. Marvel at the extraordinary images documenting the construction of the Boston subway in the 1890s. Appreciate the work of women photographers, including prolific author and photographer Mary H. Northend and talented amateur Emma L. Coleman. Move into the twentieth and twenty-first centuries with images by Life magazine photographer Verner Reed and preeminent architectural photographer Steve Rosenthal.
