Eustis Estate, 1424 Canton Avenue, Milton, Mass.
At this daylong workshop, learn about the innovative building materials and technologies used at the 1878 Eustis Estate, an early work of noted architect William Ralph Emerson. Scholars present lectures on the mansion's terracotta and carved brick interior ornament, polychrome masonry exterior, surviving gas generation plant, and early wind power electrical system. The workshop takes place inside the Eustis mansion with an opportunity to access the 1902 power station, weather permitting.

Registration fee: $50 for Historic New England and APT-NE members. APT-NE members must enter promo code in field above and select an adult ticket.
