They Paved Paradise: 100 Years of Recreation in Waltham

Historic New England and the Waltham Historical Society present a special program by Waltham High School history teacher Jack Cox about the changing face of recreation in Waltham over the past 100 years. This illustrated talk features images of Bicycle Park, the Embassy Theatre, Cornelia Warren’s Maze, the Wal-Lex Recreation Center, and Grover Cronin’s Easter Bunny Parade.

Come early to explore the grounds and the first floor of the mansion.
