Homeschool Program

Museum Collections 101

Description

Thursday, March 5, 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Haverhill Regional Office, 151 Essex Street, Haverhill, Mass.

This rare glimpse behind the scenes with several senior staff members is designed exclusively for older children and their caregiver. Participants will experience the inner workings of a museum as they practice conservation techniques, learn how to safely handle and clean objects, experience the creepy crawly (but vital) world of Integrated Pest Management (IPM), and train their eye to recognize different styles and levels of craftsmanship in furniture.
