Rundlet-May House, 364 Middle Street, Portsmouth, NH
Learn how the practical and the beautiful work together in the design of Rundlet-May House, and its gardens and orchards. Start inside Rundlet-May House and see how the sumptuous interior provided both comfort and convenience to the affluent Rundlet family, then venture into the gardens for a cooling lemonade. Laid out in 1807, the garden retains its historic design and showcases peonies, roses, and other specimens planted in an early-twentieth-century Colonial Revival restoration.
