The Revolution Comes to Casey Farm
Saturday, July 25, 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Casey Farm, 2325 Boston Neck Road, Saunderstown, RI
To mark the 250th anniversary of the founding of our nation, Casey Farm is offering a guided tour about farm life in the 1770s. Explore the farmhouse, outbuildings, and family cemetery, and learn how the region changed dramatically by 1783, how the Caseys contributed to the revolutionary cause, and how the war came in the front door of the farmhouse—literally. Two members of the Bristol County Fifes and Drums will present music and demonstrations featuring the sounds of the American Revolution.
The tour meets at the information booth of the Casey Farm Market which is open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
