Kite Flying Day
Saturday, June 1, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Watson Farm, 455 North Road, Jamestown, R.I.
Enjoy a day of family fun at Watson Farm to open the tour season. Children can make their own kite with teachers at Jamestown Arts Center the week before, or with Historic New England on June 1. Hike out to the scenic fields to launch your kite and watch the skies fill with color and movement. From there, follow a guided or self-guided tour of the farm trails down to Narragansett Bay and back, and even go on a treasure hunt. Grab a kite, bring a picnic lunch if you wish, and come enjoy the breathtaking views of Narragansett Bay's West Passage.
