Member Meet-up: Planting the Garden at Roseland Cottage
Friday, May 31, 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Roseland Cottage, 556 Route 169, Woodstock, Conn.
Members, dig your hands into some historic soil at Roseland Cottage! We plant over 5,000 annuals in our historic boxwood parterre garden at Roseland Cottage and we would love you to be a part of making some contemporary history by helping our gardener Amanda Manso with the task. We'll start in the Carriage House with Site Manager Laurie Masciandaro for an overview of the 1970s garden restoration, and then we'll move outside where the planting will commence! Come help or come watch and be a part of one of New England's most glorious gardens. Refreshments will be available, as well as a chance to chat with staff from Historic New England's site and membership teams.
This event is part of a series of Special Member Fridays in May. Each Friday in May, members can enjoy a double discount (20%!) on Historic New England museum shop and plant purchases. Plus, check the events calendar for more members-only house tours! Thank you for being a member!
This event is only for members of Historic New England. Log in or join now and then refresh this page to register for this special program.
