Member Meet-up at Bowman House
Friday, May 24, 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.
Bowman House, 22 Bowman Lane, Dresden, Maine.
Members, join us at Bowman House to see a rare example of eighteenth-century elegance in a rural setting on the Kennebec River. Hear the stories of the eighteenth-century family and the twentieth-century man who recreated their world. This members-only tour will highlight the stories of the enslaved and indentured individuals who did the hard work needed to run this home filled with exquisite Boston-made furniture and imported porcelain, silver, and glassware. Finish the tour with refreshments and a chance to chat with staff from Historic New England's site and membership teams.
This tour is part of a series of Special Member Fridays in May. Each Friday in May, members can enjoy a double discount (20%!) on Historic New England museum shop and plant purchases. Plus, check the events calendar for more members-only house tours! Thank you for being a member!
This event is only for members of Historic New England. Log in or join now and then refresh this page to register for this special program.
