Virtual Program- Climate Action at Historic New England
Monday, April 22, 6:00 p.m.
Climate change has shown that our actions today will have repercussions for decades to come. How do we shift our way of thinking to become better ancestors for future generations? Join us this Earth Day for a discussion about climate change, its impacts, and how Historic New England is taking action.
This past year communities across New England have experienced flooding from more intense storms, power outages due to high winds, and have seen their skies filled with smoke from distant wildfires. The impacts of climate change have arrived on New England’s doorstep. In this presentation Joie Grandbois, our Sustainability Coordinator, will share what steps Historic New England is taking to reduce our emissions, ensure the resilience of our sites, connect with community, and make climate action a part of our day-to-day work. You’ll also learn a few things you can do at home too!
