Homeschool Program: Bauhaus Basics: Art and Design at Gropius House
Tuesday, March 26, 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Gropius House, 68 Baker Bridge Road, Lincoln, Mass.
Walter Gropius founded the Bauhaus, a modernist school of art and design, in Germany in 1919. Two decades later, he, his wife Ise, and their daughter Ati designed and built their Lincoln home. In this program, we will explore the house. Along the way, we will learn the basic principles of the Bauhaus - color, shape, line, and the integration of art and craft – and put them into practice in a series of hands-on projects.
